Different people have different lifestyles, wants, and needs. Some homes want to be the proud handler of a show dog. Some homes don’t want to show and just want a snuggly companion. Some homes want a performance dog to do obedience, lure coursing, etc. Some homes want to learn the heartwarming and heartbreaking world of breeding. Some homes want to do it all! Regardless of what each home wants in their dogs, I believe all dogs should be cherished pets above all else. All of my pups, whether I’m keeping them or allowing them to go to pet or guardian homes, get the same level of care. This includes health testing their parent(s) before they’re bred and showing them to their championships (and often other titles), choosing the perfect mate(s), and teaching the pups basic manners. All dogs should have the best start in life from the very beginning! I strive to breed temperamentally and physically sound dogs who will be beloved family members wherever they go!
Here are few notes about the way I do things:
*When I place pups in new homes, I match the home to the pup, taking their temperament and physical build into account, as well as the lifestyle of their new home. I do not offer “first come first served” to whoever has their credit card ready!
*I require a contract to be signed.
*I do not ship puppies in cargo. I will not sell a dog to people I’ve never met personally or who haven’t been referred to me by a trusted source. If the puppy must travel to their new home, either I will travel to you with the pup (at your expense) or you can come pick them up. If flying, the puppy must fly in-cabin.
*I prefer to place pups locally, but will place them further away in the right situation.
*Preference will be given to show or performance homes if a pup is especially suited for those things.
I absolutely LOVE to teach newcomers how to show their dogs in conformation (dog shows) or run their dogs in FastCAT, and I can also help them get started in other dog sports. Never hesitate to ask about something you might be interested in!
